Là is the first solo exhibition of artists and filmmakers Sirah Foighel Brutmann and Eitan Efrat. They examine the sense of belonging through natural elements and historical accountability.

The exhibition builds on a dialogue Brutmann and Efrat had with Belgian director Chantal Akerman, who passed away in 2015, and represents an imaginary dialogue with Akerman as part of the mourning process. This audiovisual journey between Belgium and the Negev/Naqab desert in Israel/Palestine examines the belief that one can belong somewhere on the basis of natural elements and historical accountability.

Là mainly displays new works of art and creates an experimental audiovisual environment. Special attention is paid to the production and presentation processes and the mechanisms of moving image and sound in the exhibition spaces.
