Would you rather park for free? On the edge of the city you will find P+R, or ‘Park + Ride’, car parks. You can park your car here for free and hop on the tram or bus to the city centre.

Ghent has a low emission zone

The Ghent city centre (the area enclosed by the ring road) has been designated as a low emission zone (LEZ) with the purpose of improving the quality of the air.

The P+R car parks below are outside the LEZ and are therefore a perfect alternative if your car is no longer allowed to enter the city center.

P+R Flanders Expo/The Loop

The Flanders Expo/The Loop car park (E40 motorway, exit no. 14) can accommodate 100 cars free of charge. You can make use of shared bicycles or public transport (tram 1 or bus 77 and 78).
