Bas or Bassel came from Syria and has been living in Belgium for some years. He grew up in Damascus, the home town of one of the world’s oldest ice cream parlours. That’s where he learned all about traditional ice-cream making, and he put this knowledge to good use in Ghent.

Bas Ice Cream makes ice without stabilisers, artificial colouring agents, flavour enhancers or E numbers. Small batches of ice cream are hand-crafted every day. The classic flavours are available, including vanilla, caramel, coffee and strawberry. But if you want to try something special, ask for one of the signature flavours like Black Forest, Beurre Noisette, Syrian Nights etc.
