For three months, the GALLERY of the Ghent University Museum (GUM) is home to the artistic installation RUMOR // Unfolding Futures by artist collective playField.
An interactive audio experience allows you to imagine and record your best possible future. All contributions are continuously mingled by means of artificial intelligence – the core of RUMOR. This constitutes a collective view of the future based on the amalgamation of individual dreams. The installation is a step in the research process by playField into the friction between various prospects for the future in a society. Over the past year, the research was conducted during the Residence of the artist collective in GUM.
