Walking

The Tourist Office has prepared a mapped walking tour (+/- 2 hours) through the historical centre which is available to all visitors. Simply ask for it at the inquiry desk or download the route here or view it interactively.

You can also follow the 10,000-step tourist walk, with fitness and good health as the guiding principle. The leaflet is available free at the inquiry desk of the Tourist Office. The accompanying step-counter is also fun to take along (and return deposit of €25)!

For the young, the best bet is to take a look at the website run by Use-it www.use-it.be/en/page/14/ghent/ for young people or for everyone feeling young at heart.
