On 9 November 1911 the Swedish Academy awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature to the Ghent-born author Maurice Maeterlinck. To date he remains the only Belgian writer to have been honoured with this award.

To commemorate this, the City of Ghent is organising various events and the hotels in the city are offering a special Maeterlinck Package.

When you book you have a chance of winning a free ticket to the exhibitions “The World of George Minne and Maurice Maeterlinck” at the Museum of Fine Arts and “Liber Floridus. The world in a book” at the City Museum.
