Ghent accommodations receive awards

For the fourth time running the Green Keys were awarded. This year’s 65 laureates included 61 establishments: 14 campsites, two holiday parks, 25 youth hostels, 10 hotels, 9 B&Bs and 1 holiday centre.

This year the certification process was also open to tourist attractions for the first time. Four of the attractions received a Green Key.

The Green Key is part of the Green Key program which runs in 17 countries. The participating organizations have to comply with a series of criteria as regards energy, water and mobility. The label is awarded for one year. Every year again the candidates have to show that their environment-friendly efforts are sufficient to obtain the label.
