Behind the Castle of Gerald the Devil looms the imposing dome of the National Bank. Opposite is the dazzlingly white Episcopal Palace. The new Wijdenaard Bridge connects the banks of the Lower Scheldt which was filled in years ago and and by 2011 it will be restored to its original glory.
